I missed cruising up to the point of cursing! Hmmm, well almost but not quite. Bottomline is, I missed experiencing a different kind of event launch altogether when I missed joining this event’s launch/presscon last Monday over Sun Cruises’ premier cruise ship. Oh well, some things are just really not meant to be.
But don’t fret with me folks, because cursing or not (hehe!), I am bringing to you the much-awaited event details of this year-ender race. And a word of advice – once you decide you want to join this, DO TRAIN FOR IT!

Hi Mam Vimz,
Question po regarding this:
Participants with non-competing companions
– non-competing companions will have to pay
Php2,000.00/person
– no race pack will be provided to non-competing
companions
– will have to take the Dec 18, 11:30am trip to Corregidor
– return trip to Manila is on Dec 20, Monday, via 10:00am
trip from Corregidor.
Talagang Dec 20, Monday ang uwi? di pwedeng sumabay sa Dec 19 via 5:30pm trip?
Then entitled din po ba sa buffet yung nag bayad ng P2,000?
Thanks is advance po.
Hi Jhun! To answer your question:
1. re departure sched: The Sunday afternoon departure sched is exclusively for participants only. If you have non-participating guest/s in tow, you will have to take the Monday departure sched. BUT the organizers said that if during the Sunday afternoon boarding IF a slot or slots become available, you can try and avail of it. it’s as if you are a “chance passenger”.
2. re: P2,000 fee inclusion: yep, even non-participating guests are entitled to the buffet lunch. In fact, they are also entitled to join the Carbo Loading and Victory Party for as long as they are in the island at that time.
hope i was able to answer your concerns clearly. regards!

hi!
is the backpack included in the race fee of P2,500 (it was not listed in the “race pack inclusion”) or is it to be raffled off?
in addition, will the P2,500 shoulder two nights accommodation at corregidor if I choose option a (overnight) and at the same time attend the victory party on dec 19?
thanks a lot!
Yep,all registered participants are entitled to a backpack but this are available only after the race. they do not release this during registration. and nope, accomodations are not included in the event fee. accomodaion arrangements should be taken-cared of by the participants themselves.
ah… it means that if i choose option a, i have to make arrangements for my overnight accommodation pala…
hmmm… the package for a corregidor adventure had cost me P1690 inclusive of buffet in 2006… well I guess the P810 difference is not bad enough for the race pack with a backpack hehehe!
I’ll just choose option b, then. kaya lang ma’am walang nakalagay na time yung race and 530am pa ang departure sa manila bay. does that mean nasa around 7am pa ang start ng 21k? di po kaya mainit na nun? saka okay naman po kaya ang hydration etc…
thanks so much Ms. Vimz! I hope i can convince as many of my co-running enthusiasts here in the office to join the race.
The weather is expected to be cool on race day. The race will officially start at 8am. Hydration stations will be on every 2km. Energy drinks wil be available as well. There will be sponge stations in strategic locations along the race route.
Indeed the race registration fee is worth it considering the inclusions and the priceless experience.
Hope to see you and your friends there.
thanks so much! =)
