Last April 29, the last of two scheduled run races for the Alaska IronKids Philippines series of races was concluded at the SM Mall of Asia. But fret not as kids still have time to register for the Aquathlon and Triathlon events. Exciting!
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the ALASKA IronKids Philippines, think IRONMAN. The Alaska Ironkids Philippines after all is the local junior version of this international triathlon series. According to their official website, their aim is “to promote a well-balanced lifestyle for kids of today, who are used to staying indoors with TV, videogame console and the Internet as companions. Ironkids is also the perfect venue for families to bond and for parents to demonstrate in “real-time” that being HEALTHY can also be fun.”
So if you have kids from 6 to 14 years old and is interested to encourage them take on an active but fun, fun lifestyle, the Alaska IronKids events is perfect for them. My son is only 5 years old but once he becomes eligible, I would love for him to try participating in this series of fun kiddie races.
Interested already? The first of two aquathlon events is already scheduled to be held on June 17 at the Palms Country Club. Here is the particular event’s calendar:
Lastly, here is the alacalendar of events for the whole year 2012. Cheers!
