Last Thursday, a number of blogging runners (including me!) were invited to the launch of the Blue Water Day Spa – Innovating Wholeness Fun Run. It was to be a relatively new experience for us because it was a totally different kind of launch. First of, we waited for at least an hour and a half for the event to start – which to runners will translate already to a good number of kilometers ran. Next, the venue was at the Encore (formerly Embassy SuperClub at the Fort Strip) and the mood was not what runners will really expect to be seen in. It was one were glam and fashion is the highlight. You’d be surprised how they have even linked running to fashion.
But then i think it is really what the Blue Water Day Spa Fun Run aims to achieve – to prove that fitness can also be fashionable, that beauty and wellness can really go hand-in-hand. See the video ad for the said event below and further down, the event details. 
Btw, this race is being organized by Blue Water Day Spa and Event King (the same organizer who brought to us the Lactacyd Team Woman Run) with Coach Rio dela Cruz as Race Director. Well, if this will be a yardstick of how the race will fare, I am betting the participants are in for a lot of freebies and great prizes. 
P.S. : We runners kinda miss those run launches wherein we do get to talk about the details of the race in-depth though. Cheers!

4.“Jazz Up Your Singlet” Contest
- Open to all registration of the Blue Water Spa Run.
- Participants must jazz up the singlet provided run the race kit by using all kinds of materials (ribbons, lace, sequins etc.)
The entire singlet maybe decorated and jazzed up provided the blue water day spa run logo is not covered and should be completely seen and highlighted.
- In order to participate to the contest participant must wear the jazzed up singlet during the race.
- The criteria for judging:
Originality of Design – 25%
Creativity – 25% (use of decoration materials),
Adherance to theme – 15%
Overall Impact – 35%
- A total of 100 finalists will be asked to do the fashion show at the end run. Each finalist will be given 15 seconds
to wear and show off their creation in the cat walk.
