RUNNR Store is launching a series of weekly group runs for beginners and advanced runners called the RUNNR CLUB! Read on for the details.

Group runs will start in starting running in these locations on:

• Bonifacio High Street – 7pm Wednesdays (May 8 – June 26)
• UP Diliman – 7am Sundays (May 12 – June 30)

To join:

• Each venue is limited to 50 runners only to be divided into 2 groups: Basic group and Advanced group
• The 2 groups will vary in pacing and rest intervals
• Participant’s Commitment Fee: P300

Registered participants will get the following:

• Free running singlet
• Free Hydration
• Free running program for 8 weeks
• One-time special discount 20% on any RUNNR branded items***
• One-time special discount 15% on regular-priced Newton running shoes***

2013 Run United 2 Race Voucher Give-Away WINNERS

Thank you very much to everyone who posted their comments as entries to my 2013 RU2 Race Voucher Give-Away contest! I regret though that I had to disqualify some posts because of the following reasons (1) has an answer not relevant to the contest question or (2) it doesn’t have the requested FULL NAME of the participant or (3) it did not make it to the April 19, 9PM cut-off time. Next time, I urge you to follow the mechanics as it is unfair for those who do if I let you in.

It was really heart-warming to see 247 comments in a blog post – just shows how many runners would like to have a shot in joining the RU races. I enjoyed reading each entry and wish everyone that they may be able to reach their RU2 goals! And maybe, just maybe, next time I can give more than 7 race vouchers to make more runners happy!

Start ‘Em Right The First Time: Running Training For Kids

Finally, somebody has thought of providing Running Training sessions meant for the kids. I always hear from my coaches (back then when I was a diligent running training student!) that it is always best to start with running training as young as one can be! And now at last, what was once a part of a tete-a-tete is now a reality!

If you are a parent who has a kid/kids who are interested to take up running as a sport or maybe is on a lookout for a summer activity that will have the kids busy, Coach Titus Salazar (Certified Level 4 IAAF Coach) will be holding running training for kids. I am predicting that this will be one fun and worthwhile summer course (and sooo affordable)!

2013 Run United 2 Finisher’s Medal Design

Each of the 2013 Run United Medal Series Finisher’s medal is a unique medal by itself and at the same time is a unique part of a 3-piece united medals from the Run United Series legs. Register and finish the 21km/ 21km/21km or 21km/32km/42km of legs 1/2/3 respectively and form the medal puzzle which is the 2013 unique RunRio Trilogy/ Run United Series United Medal!

Each leg 1 – 21km, leg 2 – 21km and 32km and leg 3 – 21km and 42km finishers will get to receive a 4 inch-radius trapezoid-shaped medal.

If a runner finishes all three legs in the category 21km/ 21km/ 21km or 21km/ 32km/ 42km, he/she will be able to form this 2013 unique RunRio Trilogy/ Run United Series United Medal:

REMINDERS:

• Registration may end earlier than announced deadline because race kits may run out before May 19, 2012.
• A Valid ID must be presented upon registration. For group registration, a photocopy of any valid ID & picture must be presented by the representative.
• Singlet size availability will be on a first come first serve basis.
• A timing device will be used by all participants during the race.
