Timex Run Race Results 2012 Shows Piolo Finished with a new 10KM PR!

I have a lot of side stories to tell for the now-concluded 2012 TIMEX RUN which was held yesterday, January 22 at the BGC. But truth to tell, the best story of the race which all Piolo Pascual fans – or even those who are not, are waiting for is the official  answer to the question – “Was Piolo able to set  a new 10km Personal Record for his finish time?“

Well, YES, HE FORTUNATELY DID! I will share with you tidbits of my first-hand “Piolo Pascual experience” in a separate post since writing about that for now is a futile exercise as I am still overcome by “kilig”. For now, let me congratulate everyone who participated and finished this race especially the top winners of the three race categories. Great job everyone!

All details were based on the data gathered from the UHF RFID D-Tag by ChronoTrack Systems.

Finish Time: is time from the gun start to the time you crossed the finish line. Results for this is used as basis for determining the Top 3 finishers.

Chip Time: is when you cross the start line to the finish line. This is most helpful for you to know your personal record (PR).

2012 Timex Run UPDATES

As race day nears, we get to discover more reasons why it is worth participating in this Sunday’s 2012 TIMEX Run, Time is Running race!

• get a chance to run 10k alongside Coach Rio and Piolo (and other running celebrities) and see if Piolo can beat do a “Sub-Piolo” by beating his own 10k best time!
• run and finish this race and get a raffle entry with a chance to win 1 of 35 Timex Watches to be raffled-off or a cool CANON Digital Camera
• guess Piolo’s bib number or finish time and win a Timex watch
• join Piolo as he celebrates his 35th birthday in this Timex Run race
• for podium finisher’s exciting prizes are up for grabs including a pair of Skechers shoes for the top male and female finishers for each category
• enjoy this race as the prelude to the RunRio Trilogy 2012
• and the most important of all, joining this race is a lot of steps nearer to your fitness goals!

As an additional update, the race route maps were updated/modified to address concerns regarding on-going construction along the original routes. Here are the finalized route maps with each category’s gun start time for everyone to review and be prepared with:

Lastly, a curly birdie told me that the TIMEX RUN will most likely have a CEBU version. So Cebu Runners has something to look forward  to from Timex!

2012 TIMEX RUN Assembly/Gun Times and Route Maps

See you all at the 2012 Timex Run, Time is Running race event which is to be held on January 22 at the BGC. This race is a prelude to the RunRio Trilogy 2012. Here are the assembly, gun times and route maps for each category.

Whoa! – That was my overall reaction when I saw the huge response my very first ever blog promo for 2012 received from all of you! A whopping record-high 326 comments, 321 of which were found to be valid entries for the raffle. Thank you, thank you so much!

Using my favorite online tool, randomizer.org, I was able to promptly generate the set of winners for my Free Race Kits – one each for Go Natural and 2012 Timex Run.
