It’s Almost “All Systems GO!” for the Condura Run 2011

Yes, it seems that all is set for the opening of registration for one of the much-awaited run event of the year 2011 – the Run for the Dolphins, Condura Skyway Marathon 2011. All of us have been waiting for even just a teeny bit of news or updates by the ones involved in the organization of this race but they have been firm on giving  us race details only starting December 12 (Sunday) when registration officially opens.

BUT Kulit as I am,I was able to get some teasers on how the registration process will be set-up. Let me now share them to you folks… 😉

1. REGISTRATION officially opens on December 12 via ONLINE REGISTRATION.

2. Registration Center will be infront of the ASICS STORE at the Ground Floor of Greenbelt 3 in Makati City and will be officially open on December 14 where setup will be somewhat like this:

Registration hours will follow the Greenbelt 3 mall hours. 😉

3. On-site registration will be automated, utilizing the e-REG system – a paperless electronic registration method. Here’s a sneak preview of what the Registration System will look like:

Hmmm, I know this isn’t much information and it leaves a lot to be desired. It’s just that they really won’t give in to revealing the event fees just now. So December 12 it really is for the details.

Oh but btw, here are some race information which were posted at the Condura Run 2011 Twitter Account:

1. new 16km race category – due to insistent public demand.
2. 10km, 16km will get to run up the SKYWAY!
3. 2 starts – 1 finish line : Ayala start and BGC start. Race ends at BGC.
10km, 16km and 21km will start at Ayala, run the skyway and finish at BGC:
– start ayala, left into via rufino, amorsolo, makati skyway off ramp, skyway, then down the buendia off ramp, buendia, kalayaan flyover, BGC)
4. New 21km route – you will get to run more on the skyway.
5. D-tag timing chips exclusively distributed by Contel Communications.
6. Finisher’s Shirts will be a dri-fit type technical shirt.
7. All finishers, regardless of race distance will receive a finisher’s medal.

So there! I advice that you folks start saving now. Fees as told to me will be higher than the 2010 race registration fees. But do expect a bigger and better Condura Run 2011 race come February 6, 2011! Now, that I say is almost a given! 😉
