I Missed the Conquer The Rock 10-Miler Test Run

About two weeks ago, friend and Run Radio “boss lady” Marga told me the exciting news about an upcoming  Corregidor 10-Miler Race, initially dubbed as “Conquer the Rock”. To add to the excitement was the fact that Run Radio was invited to be the exclusive “radio station partner” for this sports event.

Being a media partner, an invitation was extended for us to join the ocular visit to Corregidor which aims to give us a preview of some race route segments that definitely will rev up the challenge of the race. The ocular schedule: Sat, Sept. 19!

Sadly and regretfully, I have office work on Saturdays that won’t end until lunch time making it impossible for me to join. With that being the case, Marga (hosts Jay and Jaymie were unavailable too!) on the day of the ocular, was with pogi friends Joms, Raymund and Charles and two other pogi peeps – Luis (of and Edward (the organizer).

I was sulking the whole morning of Saturday since I really, really would like to come. I have never been to Corregidor (at my age!) and I know that it will be so much fun being there with friends. But then, duty calls…

The pictures that they brought home after the trip even made me more excited for this race, which is scheduled on November 29, 2009. This race I believe is not for PR but for enjoying the sights as you take on the route.

And because I was not able to join, I have nothing more to kwento and no pictures to post. (Nag-blog pa! hehe…) Let me just share to you our friend Raymund’s blog post on this so that you too may have an idea on what’s in-store for all those interested to join this race. Raymund made a very good ocular recap (Thanks papattorns!).

Take note of the date guys and save it for this! 😉
