BGC redefined HEALTH and WELLNESS thru FITSTREET 2019!

Last May 3-5, Fitstreet 2019 transformed Bonifacio High Street into a fitness and lifestyle playground for people of all ages, sizes, fitness levels and preferences. In partnership with G Active, BGC redefined health and wellness so that it focuses not only on physical strength, but mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being as well.

Due to personal reasons, I was sadly not able to participate. I was glad to hear thought that not only did BGC offer great classes and workout sessions, but they also inspired people to be the best versions of themselves. Nico Bolzico, Mond Gutierrez, and Isabelle Daza are just some of the personalities who helped advocate this fit and healthy lifestyle with G Active and BGC!

To know more about the activities that transpired, read on the below official presser.

With over 100 fitness studios available in and around BGC, and home to a myriad of fitness communities and workout groups, it is only right for BGC to dedicate an entire weekend to celebrate the thousands upon thousands of active lifestyle enthusiasts who frequent and continuously energize the city. Fitstreet 2019 transformed Bonifacio High Street into a fitness and lifestyle playground for people of all ages, sizes, fitness levels and preferences.

In partnership with G Active, BGC redefined health and wellness so that it focuses not only on physical strength, but mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being as well.

Kicking off the festivities was the G Active workout party last May 3, with fitness junkies Nico Bolzico and Mond Gutierrez as they participated in a fun and intense three-part sweat session composed of a shadow boxing warm-up by Flyweight Boxing Studio, an exciting Pound workout by Evolve Yoga & Fitness, punctuated by a proper cool down care of Beyond Yoga’s Bubbles Paraiso.

Fitstreet truly was one of the most exciting fitness events in the Metro, it provided a plethora of activities that suited everyone’s leanings. There was an ultimate couple’s workout, an Ultra Lagree challenge by Master Will Devaughn, the Connexus body sculpt, and the Tropixx fitness last May 3.

A lot of fitness enthusiasts stretched their limbs and got some action last May 4 as well, with even more diverse sessions such as I Go Beyond Rocket Yoga, Body Art by Dynamic Duo, and Saltar by Celebrity Fitness. They also worked up a sweat with activities such as Sexy Heels Elite, Girls Got Game, Will Power by Soul on a Mission, Adidas AR, and a crowd favorite: the F45 playoffs.

For May 5, participants soothed their souls with interval flow fit yoga, and hyped up for even more action with a slew of activities such as the Fitstreet bootcamp by crosstrain.ph, the ESPN 5 boxing clinic, Nike+ running club, and Fit+ alignment meditation. Also well attended were sessions by Usana pro athletes, piyo by Flexfit, Suns out fitness bootcamp, Physio fitness, Cardio Martial Arts by Fitness district, Mixxedfit by Donna Lim and not to be missed was the G Active Zumba Session by Live Love Party with Isabelle Daza and Ina Raymundo.

Because the mind and heart are just as important as the body, Fitstreet also offered Mindful Wellness activities, designed to nourish your mental, emotional, and spiritual health at the West Wing Garden of Bonifacio High Street. Another event highlight was the Origin Fair, a feel-good weekend market with healthy, organic and eco-friendly food and finds at C1 Park, Bonifacio High Street Central.

“We’re ecstatic to see more and more BGCitizens, and Filipinos for that matter, who continue to make time and space for fitness in their lives, no matter how busy they become. The event was a way of thanking the countless sports and active lifestyle communities who continue to choose BGC as the place to pursue health and wellness. This is our way of letting them know that they will always have a home here, and that they are always welcome here,” said Sean Luarca, Marketing & Community Relations Head for BGC.

Exploring new places, quick family getaway, and a trip back home to see your childhood friends and meet new faces are just some of the things that we look forward to when we come home for the summer. Every year, we always think of ways on how to make our vacay fresh, exciting, and special. And Coke just gave us the ultimate summer experience with the Coke Studio Summer Concert.

Happened last April 25, 2019 at the Mall of Asia Arena hosted by Ylona Garcia and Justin Quirino. The Coke Studio Concert was a gift from Coca-Cola to everyone for the overwhelming love and support they received for the Coke Studio Season 2. Headlined by Coke Studio Season 2 artists, our summer became a wave ride of emotions and celebration from the variety of their lineup. Solo and collaborative performances were given by Sam Concepcion, Khalil Ramos, Quest, Patty Tiu, Ben & Ben, Kriesha Chu, Gab and John of Urbandub, Shanti Dope, Abra, IV of Spades, KZ Tandingan, Juan Miguel Severo, and Apl.de.ap.

Coke Studio Season 2 is about Homecoming to our younger selves, homecoming to our roots and rich diversity. This is the time to look back on our first love, ups and downs, dreams, and self-discovery that ultimately ends up with coming home through our love for music.

Not only did the Coke Studio Summer Concert gave us the ultimate summer experience from the production numbers, interactive and 3600 OPM Concert Stage, it save us from not having a summer “ganap”, but it also saved us bucks because the admission and of course fun and entertainment was absolutely free for everyone to enjoy.
